About Us

Ikkyu Bento was started by husband and wife, Takayuki and Ashley Yoshida.  After a successful year and a half of running the business in San Miguel, The Yoshida Family
decided to go live in Japan for a new experience.  They looked for someone who they felt a good fit to cook and continue running the business.  They found Hector Guerrero, who trained closely with Takayuki for two months.  Hector is now cooking full time and running Ikkyu Bento with help from his wife Elizabeth Baena.
Hector Guerrero is from Mexico City, and has been living in San Miguel for almost two years.  He is passionate about food and art.  Hector is currently exploring and discovering a new world of Japanese Culture and Gastronomy.  He looks forward to continue cooking and growing Ikkyu Bento.

Takayuki  is from a small town outside of Tokyo.  Food is a passion that runs in his family.  His father is the owner of a popular restaurant in Takayuki's home town of Saitama.
